Katherine was lead to her true calling after her husband became ill needing a heart transplant. She was able to meet the donor’s family, and immediately knew she had to be a part of this community. She is committed to honoring her husband’s donor and his family for the selfless gift her family received. A few years later, her husband was hit with devastating news. His kidneys were failing and he would need a kidney transplant. The entire family underwent testing, including his heart donor’s mother and sister. However, their youngest son would be his hero. He donated a kidney to his dad. Both are doing great. The lives saved is what drives Katherine’s passion and makes her an asset to this industry.
