Steven has worked as a nurse for 8 years with 5 of those being at a level 1 trauma center in the ICU. He is experienced in the transplant world and very passionate about helping people. Working closely at the hospital for the past 5 years with families and organ donors led him to further follow his passion for saving lives and helping people by getting into the OPO world. This role has allowed him to work closely with hospital staff and families to provide hope and save lives by evaluating new referrals and working as an onsite coordinator.
MY WHY:
“I worked very closely with my local OPO when I was in the hospital. Seeing the hope given to donor families and recipients every day is what drove me to pursue a career in donation. Being in the OPO world I have learned so much and grown so much in my current position. I love the work I do every day and love seeing all the lives I help with family’s gifts and recipients getting a second chance is one of the most amazing experiences of my life.”
